Here is the current list of fitness classes available at my local (and completely awesome--I heart you, Y! Smooch, smooch!!) YMCA. I've tried a few, but my Plan 52 goal is to try all of them at least once. I'll update the list with a few quick notes as I complete each class. I'll also add to the list if any new classes are introduced.
- AbLab
Aqua Boot Camp- My standard class. I usually do it at least twice a week.Aqua Burn- Another solid aqua class, but even the instructors can't explain what makes it different from Aqua Boot CampAqua Fusion- Easier than ABC and with more gossipy ladies. I usually skip this one, but it will do in a pinch.Body Combat- Feeling lean and mean after this one! You don't want to run into me in a dark alley!BodyPump- Another keeper. Intimidating equipment in a non-intimidating environment.BodyStep- Love this class! High energy and great music. This class ties Body Combat for highest calorie burn so far.- Boot Camp
Burn- All I can say is OUCH! This the single most challenging class I have EVER done.- Core Fusion
- Cycle Interval
- Cycle Sprint/AbLab
- Cycle Tour
- Flow Yoga
Gentle Yoga- Nice and slow. I feel relaxed and calm after this class.- Hatha Yoga
- Mat Pilates
- Meditation
Power Yoga- Similar to Yoga for Fitness, but with more flowing movements.- Total Tone
Yoga for Fitness- Nice! Class is geared towards athletes in training. Guess that's me too now!- Yoga Stretch
Zumba- All the booty-shaking I was dreading, but tons of fun. Will I ever get my hips to move like that?- ZumbAtomic - Just realized this class is geared towards kids. No problem! I have kids--I'll send them instead!
- Zumba Gold
